Backup error - "MyBackupFiles" cannot find file specified . (0x80070002)
I have a new Win 7 system (Home Premium 64 bit) . Every time I run backup I get an error: C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\MyBackupFiles. Error:(The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002)) It then records that I have never done a back-up on my system which I have now done four times. I have no idea what the missing file is and whether it should be there or not (it is not). I have not amended my system in any way. I used to have a folder MyBackupFiles in My Documents but have since renamed it to no effect. How can I solve this?

You may have third party VSS writers that want to back up the folder MyBackupFiles which is not present by default. An easier way to work around this issue is creating this folder manually. If you want to find the root cause, you may enter the following command: Vss admin list writes Also you can check Event Log to try to find clues. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
